A theoretical framework and questionnaire for wonder-full education

Many recent studies emphasize the fundamental importance of stimulating wonder in education, for example, to increase children’s intrinsic motivation learn and their emotional engagement with lesson contents. Our study advances research regarding education three different ways. First, we present a theoretical framework identify eight teaching strategies school policy dimensions relevant teachers schools stimulate children. Second, based on this framework, developed multidimensional Wonder-full Education questionnaire (WEQ). The WEQ is completed by principals quantitatively assess degree which primary provide wonder-stimulating environment. Third, using comprehensive psychometric analyses data N = 220 91 from 182 Dutch schools, investigated dimensionality, reliability validity WEQ. dimensionality identified two confirmed three-dimensional structure wonder.
